Gir Lion Sanctuary

Location of Gir National Park :In southwest region. of the Saurashtra peninsula, Gujarat. Nearest airport is Keshad, SOkm (30miles) from the park. It is also accessible by rail from Sasan Gir (1 km, .or half a mile, from the park)on the Western Railway).

When to go ( Best Time To Visit ) Gir National Park : The park is closed from monsaan (June to September) till mid-Octaber. A pleasant time tovisit is December to May (although" May is hot, wildlife viewing is good).
